Life-size Baby Grey Squirrel Taxidermy Class - Sterling, MA Location

In this one day taxidermy class, you'll be learning how to skin, prep, and mount a life-size grey squirrel. The ones we'll be working at during this class are very young baby/adolescent squirrels - around the same size of a red squirrel. We'll be going over all the skills to professionally prepare a dry preserved squirrel. While this class is perfect for beginners looking to start a career or hobby in taxidermy, this class is also great for someone looking to further their craft.

Who: Working alongside licensed taxidermist Nicole Baldelli. She is the owner of the businesses Nikki Deerest Novelty Taxidermy and Lone Fox Taxidermy. She has over 10 years of taxidermy experience and a wide range of background with art and animals.

Details: All students are required to sign a consent form at the beginning of class. Ages 13-17 will need a parent or guardian to sign as well. 

What's included: All basic supplies needed to complete your taxidermy piece. I'll also have some supplies on hand to mount them on and some nature props if you'd like to decorate them. I encourage everyone to get creative and bring whatever props they'd like! 

Parking: We have 2 driveways allowing 5 cars and the remaining cars can park in front of our house on the side of the road - it is a fairly quiet neighborhood. No parking allowed beyond our second driveway to the shop.

We will have bottled water and light snacks on hand. Please feel free to bring something more substantial for yourself if needed! 

Class sizes are limited to 8 students. Parents, family members, etc who are not paid students are unable to remain in the studio during the class.

***No animals used for my classes are harmed for the purpose of taxidermy. The squirrels harvested for this class were hunted locally as part of normal pest control. We have put them to use in this training workshop so that they are not wasted.

Refund / Cancellation / Late Policy

There are no refunds for classes. We do allow class transfers for $50 up to a week before the event. If you have signed up for a class and are not able to attend, please contact us via email at LoneFoxTaxidermy@gmail.com about rescheduling and to pay your transfer fee. The only exception to the transfer policy is finding another person to take your spot. Late arrivals of 30 minutes or more will not be allowed to attend the class. There are no refunds for no shows or late arrivals. There are no other exceptions to these policies.
